"Uncertainty Principle" Artwork by LAU Hok-shing

the A·lift 'CHECKPOINT'

The young promising Hong Kong artist LAU Hok-shing uses sculpture and installation as his creative practice. With Chinese poems and literatures as theme and wood as the medium, his works are presenting a sense of scholarly pursuits. In this exhibition "Uncertainty Principle", he creates with no particular concept. The works in the exhibition are created with no expected results. It is all about an anapestic coincidence of materials. The encounter of visitor and the work is the key to complete the concept. With this unlimited flow of idea, he intends to engage the space of the gallery as part of his works. This exhibition is a chance for visitors to explore the infinite world of rumination, as well as a chance for the artist to retrospect his creations.
